SUMMARY:Litter Sweep at BCC
DESCRIPTION:  \nCome join BCC’s Science Club for the Spring 2023 Litter Sweep event this Friday\, April 14th\, from 9-11 am.  This event is part of a much larger State of NC Spring Litter Sweep Week!  BCC staff\, faculty\, students and community members are all welcome.  Come join us for fresh air\, community service\, and taking care of Mother Earth in celebration of the upcoming Earth Day.  Meet on the front steps of the A Building at 9 am.  Vests\, gloves\, trash bags and grabbers will be provided.  Please wear bright or light colored clothing that covers arms and legs (at least legs if it is warm).  Wear close-toed shoes or boots\, and you may want a hat and/or sunscreen.  You may wish to bring your own drink/water\, preferably in a reusable container.  The event will be canceled for inclement weather\, but we can hope for a cool but dry morning.  The cleanup areas of focus are on Benson Road and Gilbert Road.  Let’s do the Earth some good with this flash roadside cleanup!
