CHAV Supports BCC Student Veterans

ΒιΆΉΣ³» student veterans have reason to celebrate. The Committee to Honor Americaβs Veterans (CHAV) recently presented a check in the amount of $2,200 to The Foundation of ΒιΆΉΣ³». This gift brings the organizationβs total donations to $10,200 since 2016.
CHAVβs support funds Partnership for American Veterans Employment (PAVE) scholarships, helping to ensure that veterans have all the resources they need to successfully achieve their academic and career goals.
PAVE is a signature program at BCC designed to support institutional work study positions for qualifying veterans. Student veterans receive financial assistance and valuable work experience through employment opportunities at the College.
βWe know that veterans often face unique challenges when transitioning from military to college life,β said Teresa Nelson, Foundation Executive Director. βThatβs why programs like PAVE are so important. We are grateful to CHAV for recognizing this and generously supporting student veterans at BCC.β
